Sidharth Malhotra is an Indian actor who has made a name for himself in the Bollywood film industry. He began his career as a model at the age of 18 and then transitioned to acting with his debut movie Student of The Year in 2012. Since then, he has starred in several successful films such as Ek Villain, Kapoor & Sons, Aiyaary and Marjaavaan.
Born on January 16th 1985 in Delhi India, Sidharth was raised by his father Sunil Malhotra and mother Rimma Malhotra along with two siblings; brother Harshvardhan and sister Shrishti. His parents were both entrepreneurs running their own business ventures which allowed him to gain exposure to different cultures from around the world at an early age due to frequent family trips abroad. This helped shape Sidharth’s outlook on life and gave
him the confidence needed when pursuing his dreams of becoming an actor later on down the line.
After completing school studies at Don Bosco School New Delhi, Sidharth went onto pursue higher education at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College where he graduated with a degree in marketing management before taking up modelling full time while also auditioning for various roles within movies or television shows during this period too. After appearing in numerous commercials over the years it wasn’t until 2012 that he finally got casted into Karan Johar’s directorial venture ‘Student Of The Year’ which marked his official entry into mainstream cinema after having previously appeared only briefly in Anubhav Sinha’s ‘My Name Is Khan’.
Since then, there have been no looking back for Sidharth whose performances have earned critical acclaim from fans all across India leading him to become one of today’s most sought- after actors within Hindi Cinema Industry. He went on to star in several successful films as the romantic comedy Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), the thriller Ek Villain (2014), and the drama Kapoor & Sons (2016).
Following a career downturn, he played the lead in the biographical action movie Shershaah along with Kiara Advani, which was released in 2021, based on the life of Param Vir Chakra (PVC) Vikram Batra, an Indian army officer. After the success of the movie Shershaah, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, rumors of Sidharth Malhotra dating actress Kiara Advani began in 2020 and they got so much love and praise from fans, but they did not publicly speak about the relationship.
On 7 February 2023, they married in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Their wedding received widespread media attention, resulting in their official wedding pictures being the most liked Instagram post in India till date.
Sidharth Malhotra is now currently filming for Yodha, a Dharma Productions film. He will also star in Rohit Shetty’s online series Indian Police Force, which will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
