Rishabh Pant is an Indian cricketer who has made waves in the international cricket scene with his performances. He was born on October 4th of 1997, in Roorkee, Uttarakhand and started playing professionally at a quite young age. His batting style which mostly focuses on big-hitting strikes out of aggression soon earned him recognition worldwide.
At 19, Rishabh Pant has gone through so many highs and lows of a cricketing career. He was instructed by his mentor to overhaul his entire batting technique in the hopes of becoming a better batsman.His turning point came when he was playing U-19 cricket for Delhi against Assam. Pant had top-scored with 35 in his first innings and then hit 150 in the second innings, which he claims was the most important knock in his career. On 1 February 2016, during the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Pant hit an 18-ball fifty against Nepal, the fastest at this level.
Due to his better performance in Domestic cricket, Pant was purchased by the Delhi Daredevils for the first time, and from there, his IPL journey began. He performed very well in the IPL, and got a chance to play for India in International matches. He scored many runs in IPL and made many fans worldwide due to his aggressive batting.
He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for India in January 2017, his Test debut in August 2018, and his One Day International (ODI) debut in October 2018. In January 2019, Pant was named the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year at the 2018 ICC Awards. In February 2021, Pant was named the Men’s Player of the Month in the first edition of the ICC Player of the Month Awards. He was also made the captain of Delhi Capitals and also retained by Delhi Capitals in the 2022 IPL season.

In June 2022, Pant was named as the Indian captain for the T20I series against South Africa, after the designated captain KL Rahul was ruled of the series due to an injury.
