Raju Srivastava was born on 25 December 1963 in Kanpur, UP, to a middle class family. His father Ramesh Chandra Srivastava was called Balai Kaka, because he was a poet. Raju Srivastav started his career in 1993. Srivastava has performed in stage shows in India and abroad. He also launched a series of his audio cassettes and video CDs. He got early recognition as Amitabh Bachchan’s look-alike. His real success came from the Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Due to his amazing performance in this show, he came on everyone’s tongue.
