His pairing with Sharmila Tagore was well-liked in the film and he became the first superstar of Hindi cinema to dominate the hearts of fans. The year 1971 was the most memorable year of Rajesh Khanna’s acting career. That year he gave superhit films like Kati Kite, Anand, Aan Milo Sajna, Mehboob’s Henna, Haathi Mere Saathi and Andaz. He kept the box office buzzing for many years through hits such as Doos, Dushman, Chef, Mere Jeevan Saathi, Joru Ka Ghulam, Anurag, Daag, Namak Haram and Humshakal. Rajesh Khanna’s exact performance in soulful scenes is still remembered.
