How Mukesh Ambani Helping People: Reliance Industries Ltd, a company of well-known industrialist Mukesh Ambani, is producing more than 700 tonnes of medical grade oxygen per day at its Jamnagar refinery amidst the fast growing cases of Kovid infection in the country. This oxygen is being given free of cost to the worst affected states by Kovid-19. Sources gave this information. The company’s Jamnagar refinery initially produced 100 tonnes of medical grade oxygen, which was later increased to 700 tonnes.
According to sources, the supply of oxygen to states like Corona infection, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh will provide relief to more than 70,000 seriously ill patients every day. He said that the company is planning to increase the medical grade oxygen production capacity to 1,000 tonnes soon.

Information was sought by sending an e-mail to the company about this, but there was no response from his side. The Jamnagar refinery does not produce medical grade oxygen. In this refinery crude oil is converted into diesel, petrol and aircraft fuel. But in view of the rapid increase in the cases of corono virus and the demand for oxygen, Reliance has installed such machinery which has made it possible to produce medical level oxygen.
Sources said that facilities for manufacturing industrial oxygen are being used to make oxygen for medical use. According to a source related to the case, “Every day around 700 tonnes of oxygen is being supplied to various states of the country. This will provide relief to more than 70,000 seriously ill patients daily. “
Oxygen is being transported in special tankers at minus (-) 183 ° C and oxygen is being supplied to the State Governments at no cost including transportation cost. It is a part of the company’s CSR (Company Social Responsibility) initiative.
Public Sector IOC and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) is also producing oxygen used in medicine in its refineries and distributing it to the affected states. Apart from this, steel companies like SAIL, Tata Steel have also started production of medical grade oxygen in their plants and have started supplying it to the states.
