Who Is Abhishek Bachchan ?
Abhishek Bachchan was born on 5 February 1976 in Bombay, Maharashtra. Her father is the legendary Amitabh Bachchan of the century and mother is the famous actress Jaya Bachchan. She has a sister, Shweta, who is married to industrialist Nikhil Nanda. Abhishek did his schooling from ‘Jamnabai Nursery School’, ‘Bombay Scottish School’ and ‘Modern School’ in Delhi. After finishing school, he joined ‘Anglo College’. He went to America to study business but left his studies to become an actor.

Abhishek started his career with Kareena Kapoor from JP Dutta’s moderately successful film Refugee in 2000, but the success Kareena got over the next four years saw Bachchan doing many films without major box office success, such as his Say nothing with wife Aishwarya Rai. The year 2007 was a good year for her. His performance in Mani Ratnam’s Yuva proved his acting ability. The same year, he starred in Dhoom which was his first major hit [4]. In 2005, he gave four consecutive hits: Bunty Aur Babli, Sarkar, Dus and Bluffmaster. He won his second Filmfare Award in the Best Supporting Actor category for his performance in Sarkar.
His first film was Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna “(2006) in 2006 which was the highest grossing film of the year. He worked with many other actors in Mani Ratnam’s stage show Netru, Indru, Nalle. His second film Umrao Jaan Failed to do well at the box office and rumors of his and Aishwarya Rai’s relationship arose. His third film was Dhoom 2 which was a sequel to the successful film Dhoom.

In the summer of 2008, Abhishek Bachchan accompanied his father Amitabh Bachchan and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on an unbelievable tour with Preeti Zinta and Ritesh Deshmukh. The first part of the tour toured the USA, Canada, London and Trinidad. Amitabh’s company AB Corp Ltd has organized it in association with Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The tour was a huge success as tickets for this tour were sold out in almost all places.
Controversy
After their marriage, a dancer and model Jahnavi Kapoor outside her home (Pratiksha) tried to commit suicide by cutting her wrist. She said, she got into a relationship with Abhishek after the shooting of her film Dus (2005), and she is also the mother of his child.

While he was making his honeymoon in Florence, Mani Ratnam became very angry with him because he was unable to give the time for the promotional campaign of the film “Guru” directed by Mani Ratnam.
Other activities
In 2005, he participated in Tamil director Mani Ratnam’s stage show ‘Netru, Indru, Nalai “and raised money to help the homeless women of Chennai.
