Saif Ali Khan`s was born on August 16, 1970 to Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi of Pataudi. Nawab Pataudi was the former captain of the Indian cricket team. Saif Ali Khan’s mother mother Sharmila Tagore has been the lead actress in Hindi films. Saha Ali Khan’s sister Soha Ali Khan is also an actress in Hindi films. His second sister is Saba Ali Khan.

Saif started his career as an actor with the film ‘Parampara (1992), but this film could not do anything special. But he received the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for the subsequent film ‘Aashiq Awara’. After this, he did many films but could not succeed. He performed well in multistarrer films like ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anadi’, ‘This Dillagi’, ‘Kutche Dhaage’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Saath Hain’ but as an actor he could not make any film successful alone.

After Dil Chahta Hai, Saif Ali worked in films like ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Hum-Tum’, ‘Salaam-Namaste’, ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ and ‘Parinita’.
