Anil Kapoor Early life
Anil Kapoor was born on December 24, 1959 in Chembur, Mumbai. He is the son of well-known filmmaker Surendra Kapoor. His elder brother Boney Kapoor is a famous producer and his younger brother Sanjay Kapoor is also an actor.
Anil Kapoor made his Bollywood debut as a supporting actor with Umesh Mehra’s film Hamare Tumse (1979). After some minor roles as ‘Hum Paanch’ (1980) and ‘Shakti’ (1982), he got his first leading role in ‘Woh Saat Din’ in 1983, in which he gave an outstanding and natural performance. Kapoor later tried to act in Tollywood and did Telugu films ‘Vamsavruksham’ and Mani Ratnam’s first Kannada film ‘Pallavi Anupallavi’ (1973).
He then had a terrific performance in Yash Chopra’s ‘Mashal’ where he showed acting skills alongside Dilip Kumar. In a film like ‘Meri Jung’ (1985), he played the role of an angry young lawyer fighting for justice which established him as a mature actor. Apart from this, Anil Kapoor did films like ‘Karma’, ‘Mr. India’, ‘Tezaab’, ‘Ram Lakhan’ which took him to the heights of stardom.

Boney’s first wife was Mona, with two children Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. Younger brother is Sanjay Kapoor. Sanjay has worked as an actor in Bollywood. At the same time, he is now known as a producer. Sanjay’s wife is Maheep Sandhu. They have a daughter Shanaya and a son Jahan.
